Netizens have just taught me something about fandom culture. It’s common knowledge that there’s a minimum of physical albums you must buy in order to gain entry into a fan signing event?
I had no idea, but I guess that does make sense as long as some of the comments on the original article aren’t actually true.
It’s worse for fans of boy groups. They buy boxes of copies.
Huh? Isn’t it what all idol fans do? I can’t because I have no money, though… Will I get to see my bias in person before I die… ㅠㅠ
50 copies is nothing. You have to buy 3000 copies for AKB48.
3000 copies of what? Oh hell no! If I had that kind of money I’d just ask if I couldn’t rent some time in an idol VIP lounge instead.
And if there wasn’t such a lounge, then I’d save my money in a bank account with interest.
Surely there’s a line not necessary to cross in order to get an autograph at a fan sign…right?
But is it just gossip or is there a ridiculously high minimum purchase to enter some fan signs?
Girl, inform me.
